The Art of Reflection: Connect-Inspire-Act

Speaker: Dr.Bill Bellows

Bill Bellows is an Associate Fellow in the InThinking Network at Aeroject Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, CA where he is known for his efforts to provide insights to the advantages of thinking together, learning together, and working together.  Audiences for his classes have also reached after-school programs in elementary schools, graduate students at Northwestern University, as well as corporate, university, and public classes across the United Kindom.  Bill Earned his BS, MS, and PH.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Abstract: Beginning with a series of seemingly simple questions, the answers to which reveal assumptions made in how we allocate resources, both individually and organizationally, this presentation offers a proposal for reflecting on how we currently think, learn, and work. Awareness of our thinking offers opportunities to connect, inspire, and act in ways that will enable individuals to learn together and work together.

Registration: Advanced, Online registration ONLY.  There will not be any “at-the-door” registration for this event – This is an ITAR Facility and all attendees (visitors) need to be processed through Security.  All registrations must be in by midnight on Friday, July 12, 2013. When registering, please include your Citizenship – U.S. or otherwise  (Note:  If you are a Green Card holder, please supply your Green Card number and “Nations of Citizenship”. No cameras are allowed into the facility.>

Location: Aerojet Rocketdyne – 8900 DeSoto Ave (at Nordhoff), Canoga Park, CA

Parking/Access: Please bring Photo ID (Driver’s license, etc), this is an ITAR Facility. Enter off Nordhoff to the Parking Lot on the north side of the DeSoto Facility. Access will now be through Gate 1. Be prepared to sign in and show your Photo ID. All attendees will be escorted from there to the Lunchroom Area.
