NINO ANTONACCI RETIRES!
By Pam Kalmus – December 2018
The SFV Chapter honored Nino’s many years of support with a Thank You keepsake at our 2018 Holiday Celebration.
Nino Antonacci will be missed. After two decades as Facility Manager for the Dole Corporate headquarters in Westlake, California, Nino is retiring. His position there was not that of an ordinary FM. The owner of Castle & Cooke (Dole parent company), and Dole Corporation, is a detail-oriented taskmaster expecting the finest facility around. This meant that the furnishings, flooring, art collection, high end security, and even the rose garden, were all expected to be as perfect as humanly possible (and sometimes more). All building functions were expected to run like clockwork. Nino was able to handle this demanding position and retire with the greatest respect of the corporation and its owner.
He has also been a great supporter of the SFV chapter of IFMA. Not only corporate support with sponsorships and the availability of his building for tours, but also helping to make available the exclusive golf venue that has been enjoyed the last couple of years. Nino is a connoisseur of bourbon, wine, and the Dodgers. While at WWP in Houston he even had the opportunity to attend a World Series Playoff game (Astros vs Yankees) with Pam Kalmus, a respected business associate and friend – now that’s multi-tasking!
His support, wisdom, FM expertise, and sense of humor will all be missed. We hope he will not be a stranger and will continue to visit SFV meetings in the future. We give a toast to you Nino!
