FACILITY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL

Build your career on a solid foundation! The must-have credential for all facility management professionals and industry suppliers. IFMA's Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation is a knowledge-based credential that will help to accelerate an FM's transition in the profession and demonstrate a proven comprehension of the foundations of facility management. Four courses focusing on the four main core topics in facility management.

FINANCE & BUSINESS

Learn the essential finance and business practices and how to integrate those into your function as an FM. Understand how to engage finance, legal, procurement, risk managers, and others to maximize decisions for your organization.

OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE

Learn how to assess and inspect facility needs. Manage, oversee, and monitor O&M of buildings, systems, and equipment. Understand the processes for developing occupant service specifications and much more.

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY

Effective strategies require facility managers to be able to integrate people, place, and process. They must be able to align the facility portfolio and functionality with its organization’s missions and available resources.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Plan, initiate, and execute projects. Understand the entire project life cycle and how to monitor and control project performance. Learn about the facility manager's role in projects and how to evaluate outcomes.

SUBSTAINABILITY FACILITY PROFESSIONAL

The industry needs facility managers that understand sustainability. The Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) credential is a time-tested credential that helps facility managers make data-driven decisions and understand sustainable best practices. The course has three focus areas designed to teach you to think strategically.
